We all have to reign in our spending at Christmas time, in spite of the long list of Christmas Wishes. Oh, sorry, maybe that's only me! There are issues we all consider:
- our bank balance
- the number of people for whom we buy presents
- Is a Happy Peppy Doll or a Might Mega Truck a true representation of the gift God gave us all?
In my picture book, Lincoln's Christmas Mouse, the Civil War had been raging, leaving many shortages in resources. President Lincoln doesn't think it would be right to put up a Christmas Tree in the White House and waste valuable wood needd elsewhere in the battle. Hiram Antwhistle, the Christmas Mouse, comes up with a plan to use the tree trunk after the holidays.
Read it! Both you and your children will love it!
I pray that these Christmas Wishes are fulfilled:
- those for good health
- those for safety for your family
- peace around the world
- the year when the Jesus, Christmas Child comes to everyone around the world.
In my book, Length of Days - The Age of Silence, which takes place in 2112, Christmas has been banned for the previous one hundred years. They celebrate Gifting Day. Will that finally happen in our time?
Please say to all you meet: "Merry Christmas!" as often as you can, as joyously as you can . . . for as long as you can.
Merry Christmas my friends!
